Strategi Pengembangan Branding Pariwisata Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di Kabupaten Grobogan

Tourism has been named as a new economic force (Jucan & Jucan, 2013) and is the largest and fastest growing economic sector in the world (Antara & Sumarniasih, 2017; Azizi and Shekari, 2018). Tourism has a very large role in the progress of the Indonesian economy (Kurniawati, 2015). The multiplier effect of tourism can have an impact on various other sectors such as culture, trade, transportation, education, politics, the environment, and realizing a quality social society (Aref, Gill, & Aref, 2010). Tourism contributes significantly to reducing poverty in communities around tourist destinations, improving community welfare, providing employment opportunities, and having a positive impact on the birth of conservation efforts (Graci, 2013; Manwa & Manwa, Mbagwu, Bessong, & Anozie, 2016; 2014; Sakata & Prideaux, 2013; Saayman, Rossouw, & Krugell, 2012).
